I truly believe in the power of psycho education. When people understand more about their difficulty and about who they are, incredibly, it becomes absolutely possible to find the right knowledge to understand how to work through your current difficulty, whilst gaining the self motivation and confidence in yourself to take the required action towards your goals!

 

‘Knowledge is power’ is a common phrase but there is undeniably truth in our ability to feel calmer and safer within ourselves when we understand what something means to us. It helps us to understand where we may able to do something productive to help to ease the way that we are feeling and can provide a process/structure that can help us to see how to get us out of the predicament that we have found ourselves in.

Logically speaking, this is because we are then able to understand our problem more as a whole. 

Once we can understand something, we can change our perception of it and our responses to it,  which in turn can help us to support ourselves, as we work through the difficulty we are having and then leave it behind.

Gaining knowledge through psycho education can help to:

  • Building confidence to deal with difficult emotions if they arise, learning strategies that can help you
