Insightful anxiety practice using The Fear Monster® Upcoming CPD for Therapists and other Professionals

Good morning, everyone.Public Speaking

I know that most of the journey for me in actually even creating It’s just a feeling all of those years ago came from my personal journey with anxious and panicked feelings. That was over twenty years ago, and to this day I remain passionate in my work.

The initial concept was to use my personal story to show others what anxious feelings were and to remove some of the fear around them with knowledge, whilst then finding a way to empower other people experiencing this to facilitate their own recovery and to regain their quality of life.

Fast forward quite a few years now to the present day. My mission remains the same, but with added focus.

Now an experienced Psychotherapist/Counsellor myself, an important part of my focus has been on the professional world. Do all therapeutic professionals really understand the anxious client and would they be informed enough about this subject to feel confident in their own skills to support them?

Now I aim to use my personal journey/knowledge, professional skills gained through my own client work and observations together with research in order to demonstrate to other Therapists and Professionals how to  support anxious feelings with informed knowledge,  and in a way in which they really understand the many layers of working within this area. My aim- sincerely is ultimately to reach more people and to help more people in a way in which works.

I will be introducing to you My Fear Monster Concept and will be hosting a special and intuitive workshop!

So here we go! I have another Continuous Professional Development Event coming up on April 29th and there are 4 Professional places left.

Here are the details below, I look forward to introducing you to my Fear Monster, to meeting and to working with you!

A Therapist with personal experience of anxiety and have reversed house bound agoraphobia in myself, I wish to share what I know anxiety to really be, there is so much more to it than we think. I provide CPD in an abstract way, asking you to challenge or enhance your current perspectives when working with clients who present with anxiety.

This is a one-day continuous professional development (CPD) course for coaches, therapists and other social care professionals who may work with individuals who are experiencing anxiety.

This course will explore your current perceptions of anxiety and ideas around therapeutic interventions, and will ask you to consider anxiety and panic symptoms using the unique Fear Monster® concept.

The course aims are:

  • To introduce anxiety and panic symptoms from a unique perspective.
  • To discover how the Fear Monster was created in response to the self-reversal of extreme panic and housebound agoraphobia and now his acknowledging his presence can teach us all to explore the deeper layers of the client who presents with this debilitating issue.
  • To explore how this method of working with the anxious client can challenge the perceptions of anxiety and support you within your practice.
  • To show you how The Fear Monster can enable you to connect on a deeper therapeutic level with your client and how you can enhance your existing therapeutic skills when working with anxiety presentations.

I am an accredited therapist with personal experience of anxiety and reversal of housebound agoraphobia. I wish to show you what I experienced and how I learned to work with myself by understanding and collaborating with my own Fear Monster®, to provide insight and knowledge into the deeper layers of the anxious client and how to work with this in practice.

The course will ask that you work with intuition, insight and reflection to discover more and more layers to this presenting issue.

My courses will only be offered to six professionals at a time. Small numbers enable me to interact more with delegates and enable a personal touch on the day. I wish for you to gain the most input and knowledge that you are able to within the time we spend together.

The course will count for six hours of continuous professional development. A pre-course exercise and course manual will be sent out within the week prior and an online certificate will be issued to those who attend.

The course will enable you to use The Fear Monster® methods within your therapeutic work.

I look forward to meeting and collaborating with you on this important issue, please follow this link for booking information.

The Fear Monster

“I gained so much from the mini course on Saturday.  I spent a lot of time afterwards thinking about the work and how I can apply my knowledge now in the counselling room.  Anxiety was definitely an area of weakness and yet now I can bring my skills into my client work.  I have gained confidence and I feel the day was structured so well, thank you.” (Therapist attendee)

”Michelle had a very relaxed and informal way of teaching which I felt appropriate and calming. I liked her mix of class discussion, theory and personal experiences. I felt everyone got to share and that we learned a lot as a group. I liked the small group interaction as it felt intimate and safe. I loved the course content, it felt personal and relevant and had a good mix of practical tools to help client’s and allowed me as the therapist to better understand anxiety and how debilitating it can be. I would rate the course a 9 out of 10. (Attending Therapist)
